STARK Building Materials UK Limited trading as Jewson
THE PROMOTER
1.The promoter is STARK Building Materials UK Limited trading as Jewson (a company registered in England and Wales with company number 01647362 and whose registered office is at Merchant House, Binley Business Park, Harry Weston Road, Coventry, CV3 2TT) (the "Promoter").

ELIGIBILITY AND HOW TO ENTER
3.Entry to the Prize Draw is open to Jewson Credit Account and Jewson Cash Account holders (Jewson Credit Accounts and Jewson Cash Accounts shall together be referred to as the "Account(s)") ("Account Holders").
4.The following Account Holders are not eligible to enter this Prize Draw:
a.those which have their own Jewson account manager;
b.those which benefit from a rebate scheme with the Promoter;
c.those which are land-lorded to a Jewson Civils branch; and
d.those connected to an employee of the Promoter or its group companies.
If there is any uncertainty as to who may enter the Prize Draw, please contact the Jewson Marketing Department at marketing@jewson.co.uk whose decision shall be final and binding.
5.The person who enters the Prize Draw must be the Account Holder (or a director of a corporate Account Holder entitled to enter on behalf of the Account Holder) ("Entrant") and must be aged 18 or over and resident in England, Wales or Scotland.
6.By entering the Prize Draw, the Entrant confirms that he is the Account Holder (or a director of a corporate Account Holder with authority to enter on behalf of the Account Holder) in respect of the relevant Account, that the Account Holder is eligible to the entered into the Prize Draw and willing to claim the prize (in the manner described in these Rules) if successful. The Promoter may require proof of eligibility to enter the Prize Draw.
7.To enter the Prize Draw, Entrants must complete an entry form via /proejctgiveaway between 00.01am on 13 November 2023 and 11.59pm on 09 December 2023 (inclusive) (the "Entry Period"). Completion and receipt by the Promoter of the entry form gives the relevant Account Holder one entry into the Prize Draw.
8.Entries received after the Entry Period ends will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
9.The Prize Draw entry form shall require the following information to be provided:
a.Account number
b.Entrant name
c.Entrant telephone number
d.Entrant email address
e.details of the project the Account Holder is working on next including:
i.type of project e.g. patio, driveway, stud wall etc
ii.the town/city their next project is located in
iii.estimated project start date
iv.brief description of the project materials required (e.g. type and quantity)
10.Each entry will be allocated to the region of the relevant Account. The region of an Account is determined when it is opened and is the same as the region of the applicable Jewson Account branch which the Account is land-lorded. For a list showing Jewson Account branches and the respective Jewson regions within the UK, please contact the Jewson Marketing Department at marketing@jewson.co.uk.
11.No purchase necessary and there is no charge to enter the Prize Draw.
12.The Promoter will not accept:
a.responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
b.proof of transmission as proof of entry to the Prize Draw.
13.By submitting an entry to the Prize Draw, the Entrant is agreeing (in respect of a director entering on behalf of a corporate Account Holder, on behalf of the Account Holder) to be bound by these Rules.
14.There is a limit of one entry to the Prize Draw per Account Holder.
15.The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify an entry from the Prize Draw if the Entrant's or relevant Account Holder's conduct or the conduct of persons associated with them is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Prize Draw or if the Account Holder ceases to hold an Account at any time up to the date of which prizes are awarded.
THE PRIZES AND WINNERS
16.Each winner will receive the materials they require for their next building project (as detailed in their entry) up to the value of £2,000 excluding VAT. Materials shall be supplied subject to availability and their supply is subject to the Promoter's terms and conditions of sale which can be found here https://starkbuild.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Terms-and-Conditions-of-Sale.pdf .
17.There will be five winners, one from each of the following Jewson regions:
a.South West of England
b.South East of England & London
c.East of England
d.West of England & Wales
e.Scotland & the North of England.
18.One winner for each of the regions specified above will be selected at random by a computer process from all eligible entries during the week commencing 11 December 2023.
19.Each winning Entrant shall be notified by the Promoter that they have won as soon as practicable after the winners have been selected, contact shall be made by telephone using the telephone number on the entry. The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to contact the Entrant but if it is not able to do so within 7 days of the Prize Draw taking place, it shall be entitled to select a new winner in their place. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any inability for whatever reason to contact a winning Entrant.
20.The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish (as appropriate) the Account Holder's business name or surname and county in respect of each prize winner during the week commencing 11 December 2023. If an Entrant objects to any of their details being published please contact the Promoter prior to this date. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
21.In order to receive their prize, each winner will be requested to speak to the Promoter's Build Aviator representatives (either by phone or in person in-branch) and to provide them with the details or plans for their next project (as detailed in their entry) so that the Promoter's Build Aviator service can prepare a project estimate and a bill of quantities. £2,000 worth of materials from the bill of quantities can be redeemed by the winner. Each winner has until 11.59pm on 30 June 2024 to redeem their prize in full. There is no minimum purchase amount in order to redeem their prize. If a purchase exceeds the outstanding balance of the winner's prize, the remaining amount must be paid with another payment method. Delivery charges will apply for orders under £150.
22.Once winners have completed the building project for which their prize materials were used they agree to provide to the Promoter (or, at the Promoter's request, allow a representative of the Promoter to visit the site to take) photos and videos of the completed project and consent to the Promoter using these photos and videos for marketing and PR purposes on the Promoter's website and social media channels. The Promoter shall contact the Entrant, using their contact details in the Prize Draw entry, to discuss the arrangements for this.
23.Winners may be subject to an additional tax liability as a result of their receipt of the prize for which the Promoter accepts no liability.
24.The prize is not negotiable or transferable and there is no cash alternative. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on the winner's behalf.
25.The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
DATA PROTECTION
26.The Promoter will process personal data received by it in respect of the Prize Draw in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and as set out in the Promoter's privacy policy at https://www.starkbuild.co.uk/privacy-statement.

LIABILITY
28.Nothing in these Rules shall exclude or limit the Promoter's or its third party supplier's liability for death or personal injury caused by their negligence or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
29.Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Statutory rights are not affected.
30.The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any fault, malfunction, damage, loss or disappointment suffered by an Entrant howsoever arising due to any error, omission or other cause by the Promoter or its employees, agents or others.
31.The Promoter is not responsible for any damage or loss caused to an Entrant (i) which is not reasonably foreseeable to the Entrant and to the Promoter when the Entrant agrees to these Rules (which occurs automatically when the Entrant participates in this Prize Draw) or (ii) is reasonably foreseeable to the Entrant and to the Promoter when the Entrant agrees to these Rules but is only indirectly related to the Entrant participating in this Prize Draw.
32.The Promoter reserves the right to amend any element of the Prize Draw, or foreclose this Prize Draw, and cannot be held responsible for failure to deliver for reasons beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to strike, lock-out, labour dispute, illness, act of God, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, war, riot, civil commotion, accident, epidemic or pandemic, malicious damage, fire, flood and/or storm, compliance with law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, breakdown of plant, machinery or transportation. The Promoter is not responsible for any loss or damage caused to an Entrant as a result of any of these occurrences.
33.The Entrant agrees to reimburse the Promoter in respect of any damages or any losses suffered by the Promoter resulting from any claim made by a third party in each case in respect of any matter arising from the Entrant's participation in the Prize Draw in breach of these Rules or from the Entrant's violation of any applicable law or regulation.
GENERAL
34.The Promoter reserves the right to withhold, void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
35.The Promoter cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change any details related to the Prize Draw.
36.The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prizes with an alternative of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.
37.The Promoter reserves the right to audit all entries to the Prize Draw and to:
a.disqualify any entry in the event it believes that the Entrant has contravened any of these Rules,
b.exclude any entries if it deems them ineligible; and
c.disqualify any Entrants or Account Holders that are in dispute with the Promoter for any reason whatsoever.
38.The Promoter's decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
39.In the event of circumstances outside its reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the Prize Draw in whole or in part and without prior notice or compensation but will always endeavour to minimise the effect on Entrants to avoid undue disappointment.
40.The Promoter will not be responsible for technical failures or otherwise, including any failure which is within the control of Promoter, its employees or agents.
41.If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Rules, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude Entrants from participating in the Prize Draw.
